Techgrid Team ("we," "our," or "us") operates the School Admin Mobile application. This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our mobile application and the choices you have associated with that data.
We use your data to provide and improve the Application. By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information Collection and Use
While using our Application, we may collect certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you, as well as technical identifiers to ensure proper app performance.
Types of Data Collected
- Personal Data:
- Phone Number / Mobile Number: Used as your login identifier and to retrieve corresponding student/teacher profiles.
- User IDs: Generated upon login to secure your authenticated sessions.
- Media Data:
- Photos: The app requests access to your device's Camera and Storage to allow teachers to upload homework assignments and lost-and-found items. Photos are only uploaded when explicitly initiated by the user.
- Diagnostics and Analytics:
- Crash Logs and Diagnostics: We use Firebase Crashlytics to monitor application crashes and technical performance. This collects stack traces and basic device information to help us fix bugs.
- Device & Identifier Data:
- Device UUID / unique identifiers: We collect a unique device identifier (UUID) using standard device APIs to associate your account session with a specific device for security and logging.
- Push Notification Token (FCM Token / Registration ID): We generate and store a notification token through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to send you real-time alerts about attendance, fee reminders, school announcements, and homework.
2. How Data is Used
- To provide and maintain the Application's services (e.g., logging in, switching students, viewing dashboards).
- To send you push notifications regarding school updates, notices, and student status.
- To allow teachers to upload homework and lost-and-found photos.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues (via crash logs).
3. Data Sharing and Transfer
We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only in the following scenarios:
- Service Providers: We transmit device identifiers and notification tokens to Google Firebase (Google LLC) to deliver push notifications and monitor app performance/crash analytics.
- Your School's API Server: All login, profile, and media uploads are securely transmitted to our backend API server (
https://schoolapi.techgrid.in) over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
4. Data Security
The security of your data is important to us. All data transmitted between the app and our servers or Firebase is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
5. Data Deletion
Users can request the deletion of their accounts or stored notification tokens by contacting the school administration or emailing us at contact@techgrid.com.
